Last dance with Sheya

I just learned that 7th birthday are suppose to be celebrated in a grand way. I don't remember having a fancy celebration when I turned 7.

Our family friend, the Mendoza's celebrated the 7th birthday of their youngest at Novotel Hotel. Pretty Sheya had 2 birthday gowns for the event.

Kids presented a Move's like Jagger Dance and V had a special last dance with Sheya.

 

V was Sheya's last dance. 

He's such a young man now worrying about clothes to wear and what shoe's goes well with it and his hair has to be spiky. He's got 5 girlfriends and one special girl to whom he likes to hold hands with. 

You will always be Mum's 1st baby boy!

 

 

10 days till he turns 5

Mom I will be 5 soon right? When I'm 5 Kuya will be a big boy already!

October is a special month for us. I gave birth to a special surprise from up above. C and I welcomed a baby boy and we named him Markus Ezekiel.

Last week, while I was busy attending to Chloe's needs Vierte approached me and said "When I was a little baby you also take care of me all the time, right Mama?" I sensed that he badly need to have some mommy time so the moment Chloe took her nap I showed him my old blog posts when he was still a baby.

"Ohh mama you love me so much when I was a baby right? and now I'm big boy you still love me right?" 

"Yes I do! Remember that you will always be Mommy's first baby and will always be my baby even when you have a girlfriend."

"Mom! I don't have a girlfriend. I will say I love you to you always Mama"

 

We spent a good time telling stories of him when he was a baby. Wasn't it just yesterday when he just started to sit on his own at 5 months?

Ma when it's my birthday, when I turn 5 years old can you make me a special cake?

 

I have 10 days to plan his school class party and thanksgiving dinner with friends.

a happy basketball day to my bana - C

C turned 33 last September 8 and we didn't get to celebrate :( but I made him a basketball themed cupcake and cake that we shared among friends.

His office big boss was in Dubai on his birthday week, he went home late to attend meetings and entertain guests who flew from Thailand and London. He instead had birthday dinner with them, to which V complained "Why no daddy? It's night time and happy birthday today."

He's not into big celebration for his birthday, and was even not too keen to bring the basketball themed cupcakes (above) in the office. "Ma why did you have to make yourself too busy forming fondant (he hates fondant) when all I wanted was plain chocolate cupcakes with chocolate icing." When he saw my sad face, "Love, I just don't want you to get tired. Thank you for the cupcakes." Yes, he's appreciative and sweet that way.  I also want to make the cupcakes pretty! Would it not be more odd if I designed a 33 y.o grown man's cupcake with colored sprinkles instead?

Month's before his birthday I already had a cake design in mind and when he informed me that he won't be home for dinner on his birthday, well I just decided to bring the cake to his basketball game it would also be our potluck contribution.

I had a feeling that he would once again complain if I put in a "happy birthday" message on the cake. He doesn't want that kind of attention, it was after all a basketball game and not a birthday party.

Kid's took turn to blow the candle and each of them felt like it was their birthday. V insisted that his friends just borrowed the cake while telling everyone "It's daddy's cake. I help Mommy make it"



To the man who never fail to make me laugh after annoying me to bits. V's best friend, play mate and best daddy. Everyday I thank Mister God for giving us a blessing in you.

Vierte turns Two

We had a week long celebration for Vierte's 2nd birthday. 

Oct 15 @ Dubai Mall to watch Dubai Water Fountain show.

Oct 16 @ Daddy's basketball game. 

I baked chocolate cupcakes and double chocolate cake for the kids (and adults to enjoy).

On the eve of his bday Dad and I prepared balloons and gifts and arranged it at the sala floor as a surprise when he wakes up. Then we headed to Mamzar park with Daddy's friends.

Parang kahapon lang when I gave birth to him, I close my eyes and the joy I felt the first time I saw our little angel is the same joy I have every waking morning seeing Vierte sleeping by my side.

Tomorrow our little man will turn 1! We'll have a merienda party at home and a big party on the 26th.

He's now all over the place. Crawls' a lot and would sometimes take a few step to pickUp a toy. Pretends to read pointing to pictures on his books. Love's to eat table food especially sinigang and dinuguan. Eat's like he's got some teeth when he's got not even one. Claps his hand and sways when he likes the music. Knows very well how to make lambing when he's done something mommy doesn't approve of. Calls out "dada" when a phone rings. When somebody says "tara labas tayo" he would raise both his arms to that person. When asked how old he is, he would signal 1 in his hand. Give's out a handsome grin when we sing Happy Birthday. When he hears the cat purr he would say "ohh mama." Adores our neighbors dalmatian even if its not fond of him. He's morning isn't complete without seeing this boy selling pandesal. He likes playing with his balls. Prefers book and playtime over TV. He doesnt' know any cartoon character. Rubs his nose on my face when he's the first to wake up.
